The online application process began on 18 November 2025, and eligible candidates can apply until 17 December 2025 (last date for application and fee payment).

- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed Class 10 (matriculation) or an equivalent from a recognized board.
- Age Limit (as on 01 July 2025): Minimum age 18 years and maximum age 30 years. Age‑relaxation applies as per UPPRPB rules for reserved categories.
- Application Fee: ₹ 400 for General / OBC / EWS; ₹ 300 for SC / ST. Payment modes include debit/credit card, net banking, UPI, etc.

The total number of posts is 41,424 for the Home Guard.

Physical Standards & Selection Process
Because Home Guard involves physical readiness, there are physical standards and fitness tests.
Physical Standards (Male / Female – Basic Criteria)
- For Male (UR/OBC/SC): Height – 168 cm; Chest – 79–84 cm (expanded).
- For Female (UR/OBC/SC): Height – 152 cm (with minimum weight criteria) as per norms.
